ENERGY EXCEL AT NATIONALS!

The Central Energy wrapped up a solid season of softball at the Softball Canada U16 National Championships in Calgary in late August. The team went 4-3 at the tournament and played some outstanding ball against some of Canada's best teams. A tournament opening 10-3 win over ON1 Waterloo Ghosts was one highlight as was the 4-3 extra innings victory over the BC3 Victoria Devils 2004. Olivis Goderis, Abbi Conrad and pick-up Jaz Horwood (Westman Magic) were all named to the Tournament All-Star team. An 11th place finish in Alberta capped off a season that saw the Energy claim a bronze medal at the Softball Manitoba Provincial Championships in late July.

Energy stars Olivia Goderis, Lexie Nelson and Abbi Conrad also claimed a gold medal with Team 'Toba at the Western Canada Summer Games.

What a season!
